Antoine Lavoisier is known as the "Father of Modern Chemistry," but you didn't ask that.

Chemistry is a vast subject with a very wide scope of new discoveries and inventions. It has developed with equal contributions in all sectors of chemistry, so it is hard to name one person as the father of chemistry. However, for each field we have different people who got the title.
